I have taught various musical instruments and production techniques for a long time now. Finally I decided that I should introduce a website dedicated to that.

So for the past few weeks I have missed out on all the great weather we have had and managed to get the AxeSkillz website up and running, along with a bunch of simple guitar demo videos.

So where’s the AxeSkillz website and what do you do there?

Click the image below if you want to have look ate the AxeSkillz website. There you can find a ton of info about what goes on at AxeSkillz.

The videos have been great fun to make. I first recorded the backing in Cubase. Then started up my web cam and recorded the main guitar part visually whilst also recording in Cubase. Then the audio from Cubase and the captured video can be taken into Sony Vegas and edited.

On one of the videos (Nnnice) I have used a split screen to show two guitar parts. This was very entertaining and is quite fun to view – I plan to do more of this kind of thing soon.

It’s a shame I don’t have better facility for recording video but I hope that the result isn’t spoiled too much by the bad quality back drops and my somewhat awkward introductions…

Here’s some of the video on YouTube. It would probably be a good idea not to watch them all simultaneously. Thanks for reading.
