Well that was an interesting interlude. Arrived in Dubai on December 30th to prepare for the New Year’s Eve event. It was revealed that NYE celebrations had been cancelled by Sheikh Maktoum (in a show of solidarity towards Gaza).

Later it was revealed that he had changed his mind and entertainment could now go ahead. Of course by this time most poeple had been informed that parties were not happening and had made other plans.

Anyway, as far as our event was concerned, things went ahead successfully.

Unfortunately for me, starting January 1st, 2009, I developed a nasty fever and chest infection. Quite odd for me as I never usually suffer with that kind of thing. So the remainder of my trip, which was intended to catch up with many old friends, was actually spent within the four walls of my hotel room. Drinking water and taking antibiotics.

This misery was compounded by no internet access, no WIFI and no mobile signal. Nice room though and great room service.

It was also good to see my mate TT Scott and to see him doing so well and working hard. Always good to see other poeple work hard. :-)

After a flight home that was so dreadful I cannot even begin to explain… Let’s just say that I am constantly amazed these days at how ignorant some poeple can be, I am now back in England and catching up.

Missed a lot in a week… All crap though of course.
